Raising awareness and educating about nature conservation, through a pedagogical relationship of proximity and cooperation is the key to ensuring a sustainable future for life on Earth. Palombar promotes awareness and environmental education actions aimed at diverse audiences and of different age groups, through School Programs, Environmental Awareness Program, production of Didactic Content, Activities in the Field, Cultural and Socio-Educational, Courses, Games, Theater and Ecological Festivals.
SCHOOL PROGRAMS
As part of nature conservation projects, the School Programs developed by Palombar aim to create awareness within the school community about the importance of protecting and conserving natural heritage, such as fauna, flora and ecosystems. These programs are developed in a school context.

ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS PROGRAM
Developed in partnership with AEPGA - Association for the Study and Protection of Asinine Cattle, this program is aimed at school groups from all over the country interested in learning more about the natural and cultural wealth of the Mirandese Plateau.
The program lasts two days and includes visits to the Miranda Donkey Recovery Center, in the village of Atenor (Miranda do Douro), where students have the opportunity to get to know this indigenous breed and to walk in their company, and also to explore the Traditional Dovecote Interpretation Center, learning about the ecology of these buildings, along a route guided by the village of Uva (Vimioso).

TEACHING CONTENT
We create diverse didactic content, informational books and platforms on the internet, among others, that we use, disseminate and distribute in the context of our projects and actions to raise awareness and provide environmental education.
GAMES and THEATER
We develop educational games and plays that aim, in a spirited, pedagogical, informal and close context, to raise the community's awareness on themes related to fauna, flora and ecosystems conservation.
FIELD, CULTURAL and SOCIO-EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES
We promote activities in the field to provide direct contact with Nature and discovery of the territory, such as the bicycle route to discover the Northeast Transmontano, November through the Forest and the Eurobirdwatch; Culturally, we have our cinema series and exhibitions dedicated to environmental themes, as well as Socio-educational actions with the community.
ECOLOGICAL FESTIVALS
We organize - or help organize, in cooperation with various partners - several ecological festivals whose concept focuses on the sustainability and preservation of natural resources.
