Launch app Natura 2000 Passaport | July 1st 2022 | PINTA - Vimioso
In the year in which Natura 2000 Network, the largest network of protected areas in the world for nature, completes three decades, Palombar - Nature and Rural Heritage Conservation will launch the application (app) for mobile devices Natura 2000 Passaport, a digital passport that takes us on a technological and sensory journey through the Natura 2000 Network in Portugal.
This app is an innovative and enticing guide that urges us to discover the biodiversity, heritage and communities of Natura 2000 Network areas in the national territory, the main instrument of nature and biodiversity conservation in the European Union. It is a call for travel and immersion in fascinating places of this network, where QR Codes are located that allow you to stamp the digital Passport and access relevant information.
The public session to launch the Natura 2000 Passport app will take place on July 1, 2022, at 2 pm, at PINTA - Iberian Park of Nature and Adventure, in Vimioso, in the district of Bragança. The session will be followed by the field trip 'Explore the Natura 2000 Passport app in the territory', which will consist of a visit to places of notable importance in the Natura 2000 Network to try out the app, starting at 4:15 pm and ending at 7:00 pm.
