We are recruiting: professional internship in Environmental Education

Palombar – Nature and Rural Heritage Conservation has an opening for an Environmental Educator under an employment contract under the Professional Internship Programme of the Institute for Employment and Professional Training (IEFP).
Palombar is a non-profit environmental non-governmental organisation, created in 2000, whose mission is to conserve biodiversity, wild, forest and agricultural ecosystems and preserve rural built heritage, as well as traditional construction techniques. Find out more at www.palombar.pt.

Framework
• The internship will be carried out under the IEFP's + Talent Programme - + Talent Internships Measure.
Functions to be carried out
• Support in the design and implementation of environmental education activities (workshops, guided tours, awareness-raising actions, etc.);
• Support in the organisation of environmental communication events and campaigns;
• Planning and promotion of community activities in the territory (workshops, intergenerational meetings, participatory actions, etc.);
• Support in the development of educational and informational content (publications for social media, leaflets, posters, teaching materials, etc.);
• Contribute to the establishment of local partnerships and the involvement of community actors;
• Collaborate with the technical team on environmental conservation and monitoring projects.
Minimum requirements
• Degree in Environmental Education or in the areas of Environmental Sciences, Education, Sociology, Sociocultural Animation, Communication or related areas.
Preferred requirements
• Interest and motivation to work on environmental education, heritage conservation and community involvement projects;
• Good oral and written communication skills;
• Skills in graphic design, photography or video will be valued;
• Driving licence;
• Enjoyment of country life;
• Sharing Palombar's vision and values and having an interest in nature conservation and rural heritage;
• Ability to work in a team;
• Flexibility and adaptability;
• Proactivity and willingness to learn;
• Organisational skills.
