Drop-saver Tour

Drop-saver Tour
For a drop - Drop-saver tour is a project by Palombar - Nature and Rural Heritage Conservation funded by the Environmental Fund, approved in October 2022, and will be implemented on the ground in 2023.

The main objectives of this project are:
  • Raise awareness in the community about the importance of tap water consumption and other sustainable sources that favour the reduction of waste production, focusing on its efficient use;
  • Alert to the potential conflicts and risks associated with water scarcity in the territory;
  • To inform about the vital role of water for life on Earth and as a central element for nature conservation, in Natura 2000 Network territories.
It will be implemented on the ground this year using an itinerant van, called the "Drop-saver Tour", which will travel through areas of the interior north of Portugal.

The van, equipped with informative, pedagogical and didactic material, such as games and recreational-pedagogical activities, will promote environmental education spaces in the context of the territory, with the actions being mainly aimed at the school community, but also at the community in general.
